About Danielle
Danielle Shepard is a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist through Equissage, one of the most well-known equine sports massage therapy schools in the country. Danielle has been riding since the age of 10. As a child, she rode hunter jumpers, but as she got older, she decided to concentrate on dressage. The precision and horsemanship that accompanies the art of dressage matches Danielle's passionate and perfectionist personality. Danielle has trained her horse, Guinness, to Third Level, and is now working on clicker training Guinness, her mare Stella, and mini pony Blue. Guinness has been Danielle's star pupil for practicing massage, and as a result, he no longer has a sore, tight back, tight shoulders, and the scar tissue around his injured suspensory ligaments has lessened. Danielle has learned to appreciate the wonders of alternative therapies for horses, and has recently started learning how to barefoot trim her horses as well. Danielle graduated magna cum laude from North Georgia College and State University with a degree in Psychology in 2011, and she hopes to incorporate her degree into a lifetime of helping horses. Today, she lives with her husband, three horses, two dogs, and four chickens in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
